It's always interesting when a band doesn't want to feature in a video as it usually opens up the creative to a more narrative focussed direction. As my passion has always been storytelling I don't need any more persuasion so I wanted to tell the story of a couple on the edge, trying to find their place in each other.

This video lives or dies on it's cast and I couldn't have asked for two better actors in Dean Fagen (Coronation St) and Louise Pridding. I asked the actors to approach the performances using the Miesner technique, whereby they are to repeat each others last sentence with a different energy. The result is a performance that is less focussed on what's being said and more how it's being said. We shot this on Formby beach in the middle of winter with a gentle 5am call time. Suffice to see it was a difficult shoot but the results speak for themselves.
