The band approached me to create an emotionally epic video that matched the scale of the song. The lyrics for the track heavily featured water based imagery so I wanted to bring those elements into the promo. We hired a company to bring rain machines to our location and we dumped 1 tonne of water onto the artist during their performance on what was already a cold and rainy night in Manchester.
To add an extra layer to the video we wanted to have the artist struggling underwater, however our budget didn't allow for a water tank or waterproofing for our equipment. I didn't like that answer so I invited the artist to a swimming pool and shot the underwater scenes on an iPhone. The video was an incredible success and both the artist and label were over the moon with the final product.
